Tarot Card for the Day ~ November 6

The Empress

Guenevere

This card  came up for us on October 8. We must have been good, because it’s come  ’round again.  The Empress card really does take us lovingly by the throat and say, “Look: Today has the potential to be SUCH a great, beautiful day!  Remember that, will ya?  And take advantage of it.  That’s why we’re giving it to you.”

The Empress is a card of abundance, creativity, beauty and fertility.  It’s a card of nurturing, both giving and receiving.  In this day, you can find opportunities to go after your most enriching, ennobling dreams.  Open yourself to your muse.  Believe in your creativity and let it flow.  And keep an eye out for beneficence from an admirable, kind and generous community leader ~ most likely a woman.

If opportunity knocks, rise to the occasion!  Don’t hold yourself back.  And take a risk ot two on something that you love and believe in.

Bright blessings!

Joy and Its Implications

The Joy of the Day

My dear friend Ginny left this comment in response to today’s card.

“Joy doesn’t even begin to describe how I, and many others, feel today! What a different world will now begin to be created.”

Here are my thoughts:

Dear Ginny (and Everybody),

I certainly feel the same way.  But (I think) the way we need to think about it ~ and perhaps my generation wasn’t so good about this back in the day ~ is, “What a different world we need to give our hearts and souls to and work our asses off every freaking day to create.”

The joy of this new “One great leap for mankind,” or at least for America, has to be followed by lots and lots and lots of “One small steps” that keep it going.

Blessings, All!

Seven of Cups

The Questing Beast

Well, we saw this card not too long ago, on October 10.  So let me start this interpretation with the line that ended it last time:

Joy!  Joy!  Joy!

(This is another card where my interpretation may diverge from that of some readers.)

I see the Seven of Cups as the card of utter, total complete joy and joyful abandon.  So go after the joy. Seek it, quest after it, demand it!  And for pity’s sake, at least be sure you can actually define what it is − or what it would be, if you had your druthers − for you.

Let yourself renew your belief in and commitment to your happiness, and be open to the myriad magical ways the universe may have to bring it to you.  Let yourself be open to surprises and miracles in that regard.  And let yourself be open to the possibility that the world IS a joyful place, and can be much much much more so for all.  Seek your joy, and seek your own unique way to bring joy and light to our world and our time. We need it!

Joy!  Joy!  Joy!

Bright blessings!
