Queen of Spears

Fortune Cookie:  What is your unique personal sacred quest?  How can you recommit to it, know it more fully, and take a concrete step toward it today? How can you open to that in you which is compassionate, kind, healing, artistic, gentle, honorable, mystical – and let those qualities become the pillars of your strength?

We last this card in very early January.  And it’s a perfect card for this tremendously important aniversary.

This is in fact such a valuable card for our world at this time, and congruent with what I’m seeing as a big need for many, many clients — it even turned up for a guy I read for late last week. I’m grateful to have it come ’round again.

Some readers find the Queen of Spears to be a dark, kind, friendly and honorable woman, or any person whose energy reflects those qualities.

Not. Even. Funny.

Others see her as a person of deep spiritual strength, one who encourages the higher aspirations of others.  I like that.  Still others find her to be the archetypal shepherdessor one known for mysticism and visionary experiences.

Okay.  This one I can work with.

I perceive the Queen of Spears to be the card of the feminine sacred questAlthough most people don’t know it or remember it – even the ones who have read Arthurian legends since childhood – there was one lone woman who was among those great seekers who traveled and quested for the Holy Grail.

She was Dindrane, Sir Percivale’s sister.  A princess and an anchoress − in Christianity, a woman who chooses to withdraw from the world to live a solitary life of prayer − she was a most helpful spiritual director, motivator and advisor to the only knights who did in fact ultimately achieve the Grail quest.

In our culture, as in most cultures over the past 5,000 years, it is generally the guys who go off questing, pursuing the sacred, etc., etc., etc. blah, blah, blah.  Or at least it’s the fellas whose stories get told.  Time for that to change, and also time for us  penile Americans to aspire to, embrace and foster the divine feminine.

I may weep.

Although, now that I think about it…

THEREFORE today, and throughout the remaining month of spring at the very least:

Ladies: each of you, what is your unique personal sacred quest?  How can you recommit to it, know it more fully, and take a concrete step toward it today?

Gentlemen [and I use the term loosely]: how can you open to that in you which is congruent with the energy of the Divine Feminine — compassionate, kind, healing, artistic, gentle, honorable, mystical – and let those qualities become the pillars of your strength?

Today, mind!

Bright blessings and the touch of the beautifully and deeply sacred!

Today’s Weather: Sparkling fairydust and windhorse stallions. Deep blue seas.

King of Cups

The Fisher King

Fortune Cookie: Do your work.  Do it brilliantly.  But know that you must WITHOUT FAIL build in play time (as YOU perceive it), recovery time, recharging time in order to be fulfilled in your life, and in order to fulfill your promises to the world at this time.

We last saw His Highness almost exactly four months ago. And about a month before that.  And just a month before THAT. He’s back. Ya s’pose we’re finally ready to pay a little attention, here?

So, then…

A lovely, mellow and healing card. A card that reminds us to take time for and attend to healing. And a powerful card, too.

The Fisher King is, according to Arthurian legend, the hereditary guardian of The Holy Grail, which has rested within his family’s castle for generations — if not centuries.  There are many versions of why he has the title, Fisher King; some of these old Celtic stories actually precede the Arthur legends by a long, LOOONG way.

Anyway, in my Nealio’s sprained-bashed-beatup-and-mangled faerystory version of what you need to know about him:

The Fisher King is a kind, brave, generous, creative and well-balanced ruler who has a mystical bent and a deep respect for the sacred –  which is hardly surprising.  After all, he is about as much A PART of the sacred himself as a person can be. So keep an eye out for such a person over the next few days. [You’ll probably find that he’s making plans to move to Austria. Or the Netherlands.  Toronto, anyway.]

And see what you can do to emulate more fully those characteristics yourself. [Editorial comment:  Boy, could this country use a dose of THAT for the coming years.  Not being more “religious,” mind, but emulating more fully a kind, brave, generous, creative and well-balanced ruler who has a mystical bent and a deep respect for the sacred.]

Yep. Yep. Yep.

As if.

At one point, The Fisher King took a magical wound, a wound that was unhealing.  In some traditions, the characteristic of this unhealing wound would, in and of itself, mark him as a shaman, or at least shamanically inclined.

According to legend, the only time he was completely free of the wound’s ravaging pain was when he would go out alone in his little boat, fishing.  So he would do that at some point, if possible, every day − and then go back to his labors as guardian of The Grail.

And that begins to bring us back to the card itself.

When this card turns up for a client, I usually say something along the line of:

Look.  This is a period during which you’re going to be very busy. You’re probably going to have lots of responsibilities and have to go in a number of different directions all at once.

And you’ll care enough about it all to want to do it ALL really well.

So, from the outset, remember to be fair, kind and generous to those who work with you and those who are around you in your life.

Be brave about going after what you really need in order to be able to do things well, and about going after what will really be for the highest and best of all concerned.  [And make sure you have a good, honest, OBJECTIVE view of what that means.]

And remember to be fair, kind and generous to yourself as well.

Plan from the beginning to build in – and use − specific, regular times for rest, recuperation, re-inspiration and whatever is necessary for you to be recharged, refilled and fulfilled.

Do your work.  Do it brilliantly.  But know that you must WITHOUT FAIL build in play time (as YOU perceive it – for some of us, that’s a good, dream-filled nap), recovery time, recharging time in order to be fulfilled in your life, and in order to fulfill your promises to the world at this time.

Brightest blessings!

Quote for the Day:If a problem is fixable, if a situation is such that you can do something about it, then there is no need to worry. If it’s not fixable, then there is no help in worrying. There is no benefit in worrying whatsoever. ~ Dalai Lama

Today’s Weather: Mild and scattered periodic intermittence. Crusty old wizards.  Standing stoned.  Uh… Stones.

On This Date: 1946 – While riding a train to Darjeeling, Sister Teresa Bojaxhiu of the Loreto Sisters’ Convent claimed to have heard the call of God, directing her “to leave the convent and help the poor while living among them”. She would become known as Mother Teresa.

The Magician

Fortune Cookie: Honor the Magician in you! And live a life in balance, moment by moment so you can access and use all of your wonderful, magical  skills and gifts.

We last saw this Card Of All Cards just 8 days ago.  And just 15 daze before that.  I say agin… Yo!!! Ya wanna pay some attention this time?

Poor you.  Those of you who have been here before will remember that this is a really long Nealian post.  Well, this card is worth a long read, and some extra contemplation. So here we goeth againeth.

I consider The Magician to be the Ace of the Major Arcana in the Tarot deck.  (The Major Arcana are the twenty-two cards that are all archetypal, allegorical figures – The Magician, The Tower, The Priestess, etc. − that have no complement in a regular deck of playing cards.)

So, as you’ve heard me say before, Aces in any Tarot deck are cards of a new beginning.

~ How can you (how do you need to) begin your life anew, today, right now?  Or at least open yourself to the possibilities that can help bring it?

~ What changes can you begin, even in small ways?

~ What potentials can you believe in, hope for, reach for and remember?

Here’s an excerpt from an article on my web site ( that will give you a bit more Nealio’s uniquay perspectivo info about The Magician:

“When I look at The Magician, no matter what deck I hold, I consistently see (and sometimes sense through intuitive awareness) some specific elements or aspects:

There’s the element of deep scholarship and functional learning, often represented by books, scrolls or papers.

There’s the element of magical tools, including wands, crystals, and icons from various traditions.  [What are YOUR magical tools, by the way? Piano?  Pen?  Computer?  Healing hands? Trowel?  Paintbrush? Clay and cloth?  Voice?  Smile? Attitude? A killer cuppa coffee at just the right moment?  Or a killer cuppa somethin’?]

There’s an element of ceremony or ritual, often depicted in the motions of The Magician.

There’s a connection to the realms of Spirit, often represented through the presence of spirit helpers like angels or totem animals being present, and possibly assisting.

And there’s an aspect of connection to Power – of focusing will, energy, mind and soul to bring positive things into being in the world.

When I read for a client, I may find that each or any of those elements seen in the card should be selected and emphasized for a particular person, and then included in recommended “homework” I may suggest as a result of our session.

[For example: softly sing to yourself your favorite rock song from when you were sixteen years old. Sing it three times a day until the snow flies next December to help you reconnect with the magic that has always been in you but has been allowed to go fallow.]

[Or: remember and reread the three novels that have been most influential in your life to help remind you what you really care about, and why.]

[Or: write a quick toss-off (no judgement) haiku a day for thirty-six days to help re-find and heal the writer in your soul.]

Importantly, each of the elements I “see” in The Magician card is a thing that many of us have had learned out of us as we have “grown up.”

So we give those things, which are central to many traditional cultures and most spiritualities, extremely short shrift as we attend to our cultural paradigms for living a fulfilling life in the here and now as we have been taught.

As one client ruefully said, ‘I have ritual in my life.  I DO.  Every day except Sunday, I get up at seven.  I stop at the ’Buck’s at 7:45 for a grande cappuccino.  At noon, I eat rabbit food from a black plastic bowl.  I worship the Goddess of spinning at the gym ’most every evening, and I’m prostrate under goose down with TIVO by 10:00 at night.  I might as well be a nun.’

Well………… Okay.

But that’s not quite what I have in mind by ritual.  Although, over the course of working with any client, I may help them find that such events and actions, which most of us would consider meaningless from a perspective of personal ceremony, can in fact take on deeper meaning and become a connection to our higher aspects for our own magical good — if we consciously determine that they will.

But back to The Magician.

There’s an additional aspect of the card that I came to understand one afternoon when I was reading for someone on the cusp of a beneficial but stressful personal − let’s call it − evolution.

I stressed that The Magician, or in our case, Merlin the Wizard, brings together1. learning + 2. tools + 3. ritual or ceremony + 4. spiritual connection + 5. guidance/embracing of power for the benefit of self and others.

BUT, I realized as I was speaking to this particular client:

in order to be able to do so – to be ready to blend, focus and use each of those elements at the right moment, perhaps in an instant – The Magician must attend to living a truly balanced and positive life, moment by moment.  And that’s something our culture hasn’t really helped us with much over the last century or two (or fifty, come to that).”

So given all that:

How do you need to honor the Magician in you?

And how do you need to live a life in balance so you can access and use all of your wonderful skills and gifts IN THE MOMENT when they can be most helpful to you and to us all?

Work with that today, and see what magic you can claim − and work − for the highest and best of all of us!

Bright blessings and YOUR OWN Magic!!!

The Lovers

Gareth & Lyones

Fortune Cookie: When you have choices to make today, look for PERFECT partnership.  You deserve it, and you should not settle for less.

Last saw this card almost exactly a month ago. So here it is again, not a moment too soon.

I always get the biggest kick out of clients who come to me and ask, “How can I find THE lover who is MY soul mate?” And I always take more than my fair share of grinchly delight in asking,

“You do realize what you are asking… what that REALLY means, right?  You do realize that your soul mate is the ONE PERSON who can ‘help’ you learn the most lessons the fastest.  Right?  As in, the ONE PERSON who can hit every single one of your hot buttons all at one time without even trying at all. RIGHT?  THAT’S what you’re looking for, IZZZIT?

The expressions I get in response are priceless.

[Think about it, even though it is a Fried-day, and that very act may take some extra work].

Anyway, as I have said before when this card turned up, if you REALLY need to know what The Lovers portends as a daily card, you more ’n likely need greater, deeper and more intensive help than I can provide.

Some readers see this card as a harbinger of attraction, love, beauty, and trials overcome.  Others believe it speaks of fidelity.

Anna-Marie Ferguson, creator of the Legend deck, finds lots of wonderful things in this card, among them the blossoming of a valuable and balanced relationship or a connection on a higher level.

I mean, REALLY?

So yes, The Lovers is at the very least the card of a good, solid, balanced, loving relationship − one that is comfortable, open and committed, if not necessarily intimate.  Platonic will, in fact, do very, very nicely.  [Don’t throw things. I’m just the messenger.]

When I work with clients and this card comes up, I tell them they are being guided to look for perfect partnerships in whatever areas of life they may be asking or thinking about.

And I remind them to bear in mind that partnerships are not just about people.

A perfect partnership can be the right romantic partner at the right time, certainly.

But it can also be

~ the right working relationship (boss or assistant) or

~ the right work,

~ the right opportunity,

~ the right client(s),

~ the right doctor,

~ the right book,

~ the right business location,

~ the right prayer,

~ the right meditative practice,

~ the right sacred space,

~ the right Springer spaniel puppy or even

~ the right Tarot reader  [This advertisement brought to you by the committee to keep Neal out of debtor’s prison. Ǔbest Hǘǜry Ubetcha, Secretary.]

So when you have choices to make today, AND in the foreseeable future, look for PERFECT partnership.  You deserve it, and you should not settle for less.

Bright and perfect blessings!

Quote for the Day:  …there were some things I believed in. Some things I had faith in. And faith isn’t about perfect attendance to services, or how much money you put on the little plate. It isn’t about going skyclad to the Holy Rites, or meditating each day upon the divine.  Faith is about what you do. It’s about aspiring to be better and nobler and kinder than you are. It’s about making sacrifices for the good of others – even when there’s not going to be anyone telling you what a hero you are.  ~ Jim Butcher

Today’s Weather:  Minced intergalactic wharp-a-whackers from the outer L. Lazuli nebula. Put a bacon-star beacon on auto-gorge.

Eight of Cups

Chapel Perilous

Fortune Cookie: Refuse to be confined, repressed, dimmed by anything or anyone – especially yourself!

This card last popped up for the blog just  a couple weeks ago. Just like yesterday’s card.  It’s one that has a lot of helpful direction to it.  It is, however [also just like yesterday’s], another one of those cards that sets clients awhimperin’ just from the visuals.  [Except for those who are superGoth.  They just ask for directions so they can find the place.  And whether there is an app for the thing. And where they can buy ‘shrooms.  And GOOD eyeliner.]

The card, you see, (at least in the deck I use) portrays a wayfaring knight who has ridden into a lonely chapel to protect himself and his steed from a furious storm. He notices that the altar is without any adornment, save for a large, brightly flaming   candle. As he waits, and drips, he sees a giant, clawed, monstrous hand reach in through the window high above the altar and make to extinguish the light.

What a swell and encouraging image.  Yes?

Anyway, some readers believe the Eight of Cups conveys either turning away from felicity and celebration, or the exact opposite [I guess it depends which side of bed the reader fell out of that morning].  Others believe this is a card that calls for the querent (questioner) to look for a deeper meaning in life; it betokens a time for soul searching. [Preferably without the distraction of a giant, clawed, monstrous hand, would be my guess.]

Anna-Marie Ferguson, creator of the Legend deck, finds this card to be about abandoning a path, a change of plans, and escaping an unhealthy situation, among other things.  I can work with those meanings, and if you feel that applies to your life in any way at the moment, please take the insight to heart.

Of course, I have my own particular take on the card.  When it turns up for a client,  once I have gotten them to calm back down from the impact of the visual, I usually say things like

~ Do not let anyone or anything – especially yourself − put a bushel basket over your light.

~ Do not allow anyone or anything – especially yourself or your perception of your self − hold you under its thumb.

If necessary:

Go elsewhere. Hastily.

Try something else.

Reach out for other options.

Rework your priorities and take life from there.

Today, refuse to be confined, repressed, dimmed by anyone or anything – especially yourself!

Bright blessings and an open path to your true self!

Three of Swords

Fortune Cookie: Release old stuff as you would cleanse the poison from a wound, and move on to beauty, hope, joy, creativity and healing.  MOVE ON TO LIFE!

Hmmm… We last saw this card a bit over three weeks ago.  So… Who didn’t get the email?  Huh?  HUH?

This is another one of those cards (in almost any deck) where clients see the illustration, gasp, blanch and look around for another Tarot reader.  Then they look at me as if to implore, “Say it ain’t so.”

Okay. Right outta the box:

Now pay attention here.  And note that, as often occurs, this is a card where my interpretation veers a tad from what may be typical.

So, for starts: dealing with some power issues are we, my pretty?

As I’ve noted here before, a lot, I believe that a three in any Tarot deck indicates that the question being explored has to do with issues of power:

~ beware of power games,

~ be prepared for power struggles,

~ watch out for failure to own your power  −

   or, better,

~ have a care against disempowerment

in any area of life, whether by the action

of others, or by your own action

or inaction  [This is the fourth element. You’ll need to know that later.]

~ refuse to submit to ploys that would

   deny power you have earned

~ empower yourself

~ empower those you love and believe in

~ accept the challenge of owning all of

what you are and who you can be

It’s the fourth element of that list that I perceive to be most important in the Three of Swords.  When this card comes up for a client, regardless of the subject matter we are exploring, I usually say something like:

Look, it’s tremendously important that you not get stuck in old emotions about this situation. Let go!!! of the old stuff.  Get grounded.  Stay in the moment, stay in the NOW. Get focused, hold your head up, and move into your future without whatever wet, heavy, squishy ancient baggage is trying to sink you at the moment.

That’s not always an easy thing to hear, let alone to do.  For most of us, the current choices we would like to make as we move forward most likely seem absolutely valid and maybe even perfectly right.

But each of those transformations can be torpedoed by old emotional clottage like, “Oh, everyone will think I’m a complete flake,” or, “It’s crummy all right but at least it’s secure,” or “He was crummy all right but at least I wasn’t alone,” or just plain, “I’m miserable. I’m miserable.  I’m miserable.  By the way, did I tell you I’m miserable?  Oh. Well… Did I tell you how bad it sucks to be me?”

The Three of Swords says:

Don’t get stuck in the disappointment; don’t get caught in the heartbreak or emotional blackmail games!  [And for pity’s sake, be aware of whether YOU’RE the one doing the blackmailing, especially if you’re balckmailing yourself!]

Release the old stuff as you would to cleanse the poison from a wound, and move on to beauty, hope, joy, creativity and healing.  MOVE ON TO LIFE!

Know that there are beautiful things to come, and that releasing − really releasing!!! the emotions & stuff of the past and moving on − will bring the hoped-for wonderfulness to you more quickly.

Bright blessings, peace, hope and release!

Eight of Shields

Fortune Cookie: Do your MAGICAL work to help yourself find your magical WORK.  And DON’T settle for less!

We last saw this fellow in late February.  And it’s a card that I have seen come up a lot for clients lately.  So… Who is NOT doing their magical work?  Eh?  Eh?

I’m always nearly deliriously happy when this card shows up in a reading or on the blog.  It’s a card with SO MUCH  POTENTIAL and so much useful direction ~ if only we’d actually follow it!  [By the way, Wayland was THE Master Smith to the Gods in British mythology, in case that tells ya anything about your day.]

Wayland’s Smithy, Oxfordshire

I always tell my clients that Eight of Shields is the card of magical work

And you can interpret that as magical WORK

or MAGICAL work!

(Or both, of course.  But, as I always request, feel it through for a minute and see if one doesn’t resonate more strongly… for today, anyway.)

So, let’s assume you focus on the first interpretation, magical WORK.

Well then, you need to be engaged in, or actively seeking (because that counts, too), employment that is so perfect for you it isn’t like work, it’s like magic.  It’s such a joy — when you are doing what you’re doing in the way you’re doing it with the people you’re doing it with — it’s so perfect you can hardly wait to roll out of bed to get at it every morning.

As I’ve said before, believe it or not, those kind of careers and positions do actually exist.  I’ve had that experience, even in the nonprofit sector, and it’s wonderful!  And it really didn’t require handing anyone a nice chocolate-covered hand grenade. Often.

So if a really soul-deep happy work scenario is not in your life now:

a.)  It’s likely in part because you don’t KNOW what you’d really love to do, or

b.)  You’re unwilling to admit to yourself what it is that you’d really love to do, and/or

c.)  You won’t let yourself believe that you could actually, successfully, happily have that in your life without starving, and so

d.)  You’re not letting yourself hold out for what you’d really love to do, or even

e.)  You’re not letting yourself figure out what baby steps would help take you in that direction, or

f.)  Something! Jeez, figure-it-out-fer-yerself-fer-gawdsake!

Who CARES if you’re too old to be a Mouseketeer?  If that’s what would really light up the universe for you, at least start down the path and see what the job placement elves magic into your inbox.

But you’ve gotta be honest with yourself about your career hopes and ideals first!

Ah, but let’s assume it was the MAGICAL work interpretation that rang your chimes.

Well then, what kind of regular, ongoing deep and personal ritual, or ceremony, or magic or prayerwork are you doing in your life to bring about what you want in the world?

[Well why not?]

[What do you mean, “Such as?”]

Well… such as burning the right color candles in the right phases of the moon with the right kind of prayer for financial abundance.

Or getting the Feng Shui of your house together and in line with your desire to have (positive) fame and wealth in your life.

Or even making the time every day to use guided meditation/guided imagery CDs to help boost your immune system and help increase your energy to help you engage in your own career revolution.

Your magical work is exactly that:

YOUR magical work.  For you it may be prayer, or  dance, or singing gospel, or shamanic journeys, or herbal-infused spellwork, or candle magic, or HIGH CEREMONY, or whatever floats your magical/spiritual boat.  But do it.  DO IT!

And think about really working with both interpretations (magical WORK + MAGICAL work = MAGICAL LIFE!) together.

Move toward your magical WORK, and let your MAGICAL work help get you there more quickly, and keep you happier, more connected, more fulfilled while you work on getting there.  It’ll make the world better for you, and everyone and everything. And that’s why you’re here this time, after all!

Bright blessings and magical blissings!

The Sun

Fortune Cookie: What are your wishes?  Stay conscious of those wishes as you go through your day.  Honor those wishes in positive ways.

This card last turned up around mid-March-ish. Too bad. It’s one of those cards I could see once a week and be delighted to work with again.  It’s a GREAT card for any day, any season of the year.

There is so much hope in this card!  And that’s something we can all use lately.

It’s especially aimed at those − like I am, without any question or possible hope of plausible deniability − who would be deliriously happy with a card that says, “Grab a double espresso or two.  Crawl into a linen-lined cave till that bright, shiny thing in the sky dims a bit. Then check to see if it’s safe to come out.”

Unh –UH!

[God, Neal will you PLEASE turn down the print? You’re giving yourself a headache already.]  [Sorry.]  [Nitwit.]

This card is also appropriate for people who have been saying something like, “This isn’t working.  It really, really isn’t working.  What am I doing wrong?  In fact, what am I doing?  What? Really, WHAT??  ‘Cos this thing here juss don’ seem to be working no way!”

Well, let’s all pay attention.  Even me.  I.  Whatever.  [Nitwit.]

On this morning, the Universal Sun will be cruising just outside all our bedroom windows, saying,

“The hyacinths are blooming and the tress are so full of buds it’s almost Stephen King scary. The blue jays are competing for seed with everybody, especially the squirrels and the rats under the garage.  The cocker spaniel is cruising the back of the garden to help the jays with the squirrels.  The hawk is apparently miles away.

“It really is startlingly beautiful out here!!  And there is so much AMAZING potential if we just open to it and connect!  LOOOOOOVE Your World!  Love Your Self! LOOOOOOOOVE Your LIFE! Yesterday’s gone.  Let it go.  Let it go! Go after you most beautiful and beloved wishes!  Nooooow!!!!!!!!!!

Specifics?  Specifics??

Where’s your spirit of adventure?  Of exploration?  Of checking it out on Google?

Be that way.

But only because I’m in a good mood.  Or was.  Till now.  Thanks.

This card is generally a big “Yes!” card, a confirmation that what you seek is on its way.

It doesn’t take too much work to figure out that The Sun betokens joy, light, and clarity of vision.  Not to mention material happiness and general contentment.  A really lovely offering for any day, no?

So OWN that!  !! !

For me, The Sun is one of the two great wish cards of the deck.

I find it says,

“You shall have happiness, health, wealth, peace and all good things

IF you are clear within yourself about what your wishes truly are

(now, not yesterday, not last year, not a decade or two ago)

AND you hold true to those wishes, moment by moment by moment throughout the day and throughout your life.”

After all, the Universe can only give back to you what you put out as vibration.

[How many people said OUCH!?  Uh Hunh!]

And the Universe will judge what your wishes are in large part by that to which you GIVE YOUR ATTENTION, moment by moment by moment.  Right?  Right?  Right!

[Okay, who said, “Oh, I am SO screwed!”  WRONG ATTITUDE, PRINCESS!]

Keep your attention on what you positively wish, for pity’s sake!

MUCH Better!!  !

(By the way, in some interpretations, the Sun betokens an engagement. So if you’ve wanted to pop the question… just be sure it’s what you REALLY WISH!)

What is your wish?

What are your wishes?

How can you

stay conscious

of those wishes

as you go through your day?

How can you honor those wishes in positive ways

Hold your wishes as your focus − even as you go through all the activity, priorities and sheer STUFF you must attend to as you do what you must to deal with your day.

See the beauty.

The Universe

The Giants’ Dance

Fortune Cookie: The Universe is your oyster.  It will give you your fondest wishes, if you will be clear within yourself about those wishes, be true to those wishes, hold them close moment by moment, and honor them.

What a great card for a holiday weekend.  Even if it IS a holiday the betokens the end of summer.  For this year, anyway.  Saw this one last in late April, by the way.

As I’ve said before, this is absolutely one of the most glorious, hope-filled positive cards in the deck, so PLEASE know that such energy is available to and for you today.

Don’t waste the vibe by talking yourself out of what may be!

The card in the Legend deck pictures a Goddess/dancer moving ecstatic and free under the stars within Stonehenge (the Giants’ Dance, as it was known).  Anna-Marie Ferguson, creator of the deck, finds this card to be a harbinger of liberation, the attainment of a long-sought goal, and the culmination of events, efforts and experiences from the past.  [So listen for advice and take to heart the good wishes of others who would offer or encourage you toward all such positive culminations.]

Some readers find assured success, emigrationand a change of place in this card.  Others see a promise that the querent – the person having the reading done − will become all that she or he can be and more IF he or she is only confident enough

[Need me to repeat that for ya?]

You will become all you can Be

and more

IF!! you are confident enough!

As I sometimes say to clients in my readings, “Remember: you’re really never too old to become a Mouseketeer, if you truly want to.”

When this card comes up, I ask clients:

What would dancing free under the stars be for you?

What would give you that sense of

freedom, and

security, and

elation, and

ecstasy, and

connection to beautiful and eternal and renewing Source and its most healing , empowering rhythms?

what can you do

what will you do

to begin to give that to yourselfNOW!

The Universe is your oyster.  It will give you back your fondest wishes, if you will be clear within yourself about those wishes, be true to those wishes, hold them close moment by moment, and honor them.

In our daily lives, we very often become wrapped up in the seeming necessities — or easy ways out — of the moment.  We lose track of our more profound, more eternal and inspiring hopes, wishes, beliefs − and powers.

So, starting today, reconnect with that higher, more hopeful vision of yourself and your life.

KNOW that you have all that is necessary to bring it into being.

This is a card of successful completion, harmony and lasting happiness.

Bright blessings!

[And please share this card with someone who needs a little boost today.]
