Tarot Card for the Day ~ March 23

Page of Spears

The Hare

Fortune Cookie: Love and honor your inner mad artist.  Embrace and empower him or her today.  And begin that wonderful new… WHATEVER!

As I’ve said about this little guy before, his energy is ALWAYS welcome around here.  Good card for the first week of spring!

Some readers would find this card to signal a dark young man (person?), an envoy or postman, and therefore, NEWS!  So keep an eye out for all of those, if it feels right.

Others would see him as representing a strange message or a desire to learn new things or expand current knowledge.

Anna-Marie Ferguson, creator of the Legend deck, finds the Page of Spears to betoken stimulating communications [like you wish this was], arrival of good things, and a trustworthy, enthusiastic assistant, among other possibilities.

As a totem animal, Hare betokens joyfulness, enthusiasm, wonderful loopy abandon (Mad as a March Hare) and creativity, creation or procreation.  So this card asks that you release your inner wildandcrazyjoyfulartist, especially today.

Let yourself connect or reconnect with those elements of yourself and your life that encourage freedom, playfulness, creativity and JOY!

And as far as the procreation part is concerned, if you’ve been thinking about making a baby − or opening a new business or giving birth to a major new project or direction in life − Do It!  Do It!  Begin today!

Love and honor your inner mad artist.  Embrace and empower him or her today.  And begin that wonderful new… WHATEVER!

Bright, joyful, creative blessings!

Quote for the Day: One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. ‘Which road do I take?’ she asked.  ‘Where do you want to go?’ was his response.  ‘I don’t know,’ Alice anwered.  ‘Then,’ said the cat, ‘It doesn’t matter.’  ~ Lewis Caroll, from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

Today’s Weather: I just now heard the first thunder of spring!  Yippitee skippitee! [I hope it was thunder, anyway…]  Yep.  Thunder! Yay!

On This Date:  1801 – Tsar Paul I of Russia is struck with a sword, then strangled, and finally trampled to death in his bedroom at St. Michael’s Castle. [Talk about a bad night.]  {{Talk about a testy gentry!}}

I love, love, LOVE the background you chose, Neal. I’ll allow my attention to focus on the spring-time flowers and colors instead of the weather reality of today.

Hmm…the Alice in Wonderland quote sure makes sense: If we don’t know where we want to go, then the road we take doesn’t matter. (Good food for thought, indeed.)

Last but not least, this little poem crossed my path this morning (a number of teachers at our school are having a biggest losers contest and motivational memos are being sent). I found it cheerful and helpful.

    The best six doctors anywhere
And no one can deny it
Are sunshine, water, rest & air
    Exercise and diet.
These six will gladly you attend
    If only you are willing
    Your mind they’ll ease
    Your will they’ll mend
And charge you not a shilling.

~ ~ Nursery rhyme quoted by Wayne Fields, What the River Knows, 1990

~ ~ Hare & Healthy Blessings to you, Donna
