Tarot Card for the Day ~ March 4

Page of Spears

The Hare

Fortune Cookie: Love and honor your inner mad artist.  Embrace and empower him or her today.  And begin that wonderful new… WHATEVER!

As I’ve said about this little guy before, his energy is ALWAYS welcome around here.  Good card for the run-up to St. Patrick’s Day.  Y’all.

Some readers would find this card to signal a dark young man (person?), an envoy or postman, and therefore, NEWS!  So keep an eye out for all of those, if it feels right.

Others would see him as representing a strange message or a desire to learn new things or expand current knowledge.

Anna-Marie Ferguson, creator of the Legend deck, finds the Page of Spears to betoken stimulating communications, arrival of good things, [Maybe St. Pat come early, yes?  Quiet, Mongo!] and a trustworthy, enthusiastic assistant, among other possibilities.

As a totem animal, Hare betokens joyfulness, enthusiasm, wonderful loopy abandon (Mad as a March Hare) and creativity, creation or procreation.  So this card asks that you release your inner wildandcrazyjoyfulartist, especially today.

Let yourself connect or reconnect with those elements of yourself and your life that encourage freedom, playfulness, creativity and JOY!

And as far as the procreation part is concerned, if you’ve been thinking about making a baby − or opening a new business or giving birth to a major new project or direction in life − Do It!  Do It!  Begin today!

Love and honor your inner mad artist.  Embrace and empower him or her today.  And begin that wonderful new… WHATEVER!

Bright, joyful, creative blessings!

Quote for the Day:  I wonder if I’ve been changed in the night? Let me think. Was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I’m not the same, the next question is ‘Who in the world am I?’ Ah, that’s the great puzzle! ~ Lewis Caroll, from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

Today’s Weather: Deep fried golden brown cubes of iddly.  And ying tong iddle i po. Y’all.

On This Date: 1493 – Explorer Christopher Columbus arrives back in Lisbon, Portugal, aboard his ship Niña from his voyage to what is now The Bahamas and other islands in the Caribbean.  [Gives King Ferdinand a gift: “Ma Man went to Bahamas and All I Got Was this Tee Shirt.”]

And: 1797 – In the first ever peaceful transfer of power between elected leaders in modern times, John Adams is sworn in as President of the United States, succeeding George Washington.

You’ve certainly let YOUR inner mad and joyful artist come out to play in this message! (…come to think of that, he’s out and ’bout quite a bit!)

Thanks for reminding us we ALL need to do that. ‘specially this time of year when we’re all ready for some spring, and fun, and sun, and such. Lately I’ve been finding myself going to my heart space and seeing daffodils. A new experience for me. But they, as well as St. Patrick’s day will be here soon enough. Yay!
