Tarot Card for the Day ~ August 28

The Emperor

Arthur

Hmmm….

This guy showed up three times in the month of May and then disappeared.  So it might be worth taking a moment to ask yourself how things just now are similar to how they were around then.

So.

This is a powerful, positive card [and I know bunches of folk who can use one at the moment], that encourages us to see the goodness flowing to us and our world.  Even more, it asks that we believe in it and be open to it.

Anna-Marie Ferguson, creator of the Legend deck, writes that this card betokens

wisdom and power,

conquest and conviction,

courage and ambition

balanced with

reason and fair play.

It can also herald a caring person with many responsibilities, so have an eye out for someone like that.  [If it looks like me in your mind’s eye, you’re daft.]

I perceive The Emperor to be a card of intellect well used and accomplishment attained.

For some clients, I find that it indicates they may be thrust into a new position of power, even if they have not sought it.  When that is the case, I ask that they accept the new responsibilities (and the attendant opportunities) graciously.  I say something like:

“If the Universe didn’t think you were ready for this, it wouldn’t have put you in a position to receive it.  So go for it and be brilliant about it!  You can be, you know!!!!!”

Be open to the helpful counsel of others, so that a greater wisdom can be attained and acted on.

This is a card of progress and security.  So believe in that – own that − as a true, evident and inevitable possibility.

Use your wonderful intellect very well today; that’s why you have it.  Seek wisdom through the counsel of others who truly have something helpful to offer.  Know that, through such actions, progress and security can be yours.

Bright blissings (yes, I meant to spell it that way)!

Quote for the Day:  “A lot has been said about politicians; some of it complimentary, but most of it accurate” ~ Eric Idle

Today’s Weather: Degenerate (teehee) peculated sculptresses; temporary mandibles.

On This Date: 1845Scientific American magazine publishes its first issue.

And: 1917 – Ten suffragists are arrested when picketing the White House.  [Shame! Shame!]

    Hi, Neal,

..yeah, I know bunches of folk who can use [a powerful, positive] card at the moment, too.

I’m beginning to think that the best way we can most often be helpful to others is to be as positive and cheerful in our own lives as we can be. Not in a phoney or put-on way, of course.

In Daily Guidance from your Angels, Doreen Virtue, PhD writes: Your own happiness is your greatest tool for helping and teaching. It’s a profound energy that emits deeply healing rays of light that have an uplifting efect. There’s no need for you to work at mending others, as your feelings of peace will accomplish this automatically. Hold the intention of being joyful, and let everything else take care of itself.

Last evening at one of Janee Kuta-Iliano’s raw food classes (on Asian food — yummy!) I “happened” to sit next to a woman who is about 8 years my senior. So joyful! Roller skakes four times a week…and loves it! Pet sits…and loves it! Plays with raw foods several times a week…and loves it! She said she decided to shift to a more positive mode about 15 years ago and hasn’t looked back since! (She did say some people find her annoyingly cheerful at times.)

But her positive outlook did give me “food” for ponderin’!

Thanks for all your positive messages. I’ll be “seein’ the Emperor throughout my day, I’m sure.

~ ~ Bright blissings back to you! Donna

She sounds spunky. That’s all I’ll say.

    Blessings!
